A month ago, the Israeli Real Estate Show took place in Edgware, North London, selling land in the West Bank to the highest bidder, which violates international law and is a crime against humanity. Disrespectfully, these crimes were hosted inside United Edgware Synagogue. A strong antizionist Jewish presence led the opposition and even the Mayor of London publicly said that he opposed it.
A small group of protestors including members of East Berkshire PSC arrived, and were immediately and viciously attacked by a mob of zionist men from “Stop the Hate” and other zionist groups. They punched, kicked, robbed, were sexually perverse and on multiple occasions threatened to wait for and kill members of the pro-Palestine group.
The community has since collated video documentation, written testimonies, police reports and identified several of the attackers. One of the victims recalls: “A demonstrator was punched, kicked and pushed by three people on the way to the protest, suffering a fractured nose, a black eye and deep scratches treated at A&E, and had their bank cards taken by force. Police at the scene said they were short-staffed, said they could not arrest anyone, and called an ambulance only after a delay.”

You may also view a Netpol report here. Police failed to protect many of the protesters and chose not to arrest those assaulting physically and verbally within their sight and reach. The police stopped the pro-Palestine protesters being hospitalised or killed but failed in a multitude of ways to protect them, including letting almost all the documented perpetrators of violence walk free.
There needs to be an independent review of how the police handled the day. This is a rare opportunity to take violent zionist thugs to court with an abundance of clear evidence of their ongoing crimes, and push for an end to zionist impunity in the UK. We need as many signatures as possible to insist on a fair, thorough and honest investigation. It can be signed by anyone living in the UK.
