Local Businesses and the Coca Cola Boycott

Coca Cola operates a bottling plant in Atarot, an industrial zone in occupied East Jerusalem. The Atarot settlement is built on Palestinian land and has been associated with restrictions on Palestinian businesses and movement. By maintaining operations in this area, Coca Cola contributes to the economic infrastructure of settlements that are widely considered illegal under international law. This raises concerns for those advocating ethical consumer choices and corporate responsibility.

As part of our Don’t Buy Apartheid campaign, we have been surveying local businesses to discover which ones are stocking Coca Cola brands and which are offering ethical alternatives. This survey is part of a wider movement to encourage businesses and consumers to make informed choices that do not support companies complicit in human rights violations.

Coca Cola has been identified as one of the corporations that support Israeli apartheid policies through various economic ties. By choosing alternative brands, local businesses and consumers can take a stand for justice and contribute to an ethical economy.

Our survey focuses on businesses in Slough High Street (SHS), Herschel Street (HST), Wexham Parade (WP), Chalvey Road West (CRW), Chalvey Road East (CRE), Baylis Parade (BP) and Stoke Poges Lane (SPL), listing their stocking choices. We appreciate the businesses that have chosen to provide alternatives, giving consumers a choice to avoid supporting Coca Cola.

If you own or manage one of these businesses and notice any inaccuracies in our survey, or if you have recently changed your stock to reflect ethical choices, please contact us so we can keep our records up to date.
