Daybreak in Gaza β Book Talk & Signing
Join Marlow Palestine Solidarity for a powerful evening of storytelling, solidarity, and cultural reflection at our Book Talk and Signing event for Daybreak in Gaza: Stories of Palestinian Lives and Culture, published by Saqi Books.
Edited by acclaimed author and journalist Matthew Teller, the book captures the richness, resilience, and daily realities of Palestinian life. The evening will feature an engaging talk by Matthew, alongside a special video message from co-editor Mahmoud Muna, owner of the Educational Bookshop in Jerusalem. Mahmoud will share his personal insights into recent events, including Israeli police raids on the bookshop and his arrest β a stark reminder of the challenges faced by Palestinian cultural figures.
As Mahmoud insists: #BooksellingIsNotACrime.
The event will conclude with an open discussion, book signing, and book sales hosted by Marlow Bookshop.
All profits from book sales will go to Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP), supporting healthcare for communities under occupation.
This free event is generously sponsored by Neales Taxis, and we are grateful for their continued support.
